A border collie can and will take a lot of heavy-handedness, correction and mindless repetition from an owner. A Ridgeback temperament is the antithesis of a herding or working dog. They are independent thinkers, and cannot be forced to do anything simply because you want them to. The more you force, the more they resist. They will never approach the level of biddability you want and expect from the BC, nor should they. That doesn’t mean they won’t or can’t be well mannered; it just means that they think for themselves, and you must out think them.

Herlig beskrivelse av hvordan trene en RR , Kjenner mye igjen fra hvordan man bør trene en toller. De er like sta og har egne tanker om hvordan ting skal være! Det er jo litt av sjarmen! Leste forresten det du har skrevet om moren din, sterkt! Ufattelig at helsevesenet kan behandle mennesker sånt! Kjenner jeg får vondt langt inne i hjertet!
